Without a Season, Without a Reason…

They met in school, ironed uniform, polished shoes
Making the other happy, driving away the blues…
A little love, a little warmth…A little tug, a small hug,
Two lovers together, one fair and one dark.
The world will talk whatever they want to
We will still love, no more ado…
‘Coz love sees no season,
True love needs no reason…

Madness of youth, fighting for a better society
Inside them both, their love lived silently
Their hearts clasped, no rules they knew
Two lovers together, one Christian, one Hindu.
The world will say whatever they want to
They will still love, no more ado…
‘Coz love fails to see a season,
True love hardly needs a reason…

Mid-life crisis, there’s a hair turning grey…
Stay together, don’t let this dream go astray,
Back at home is a little family full of amour
Two lovers together, one rich, another poor.
The world will talk whatever they want to
They will still love, without anymore ado…
‘Coz love has seen no season,
True love will not need a reason…

Lived a life, long and sound
Near the end, the love stands out
Our graves should be one, together always we
Two lovers they are, one She, and another She
The world will still say whatever they want to
We will still always love, no more ado…
‘Coz love never saw a season,
True love never needed a reason…

A Blind Star Gazer

Dark were the nights, the clouds covered the moon
Dark were the ways, I am lost so soon.
Groping along the midnight road
Clutching on a candle along I strode...
Hello sky, let go of your clouds
I pray to you, long and loud.

One such night, I looked up at the sky,
And of all the stars, one did catch my eye.
The star that shines the brightest of all
The star that you stare at, full of awe...
Star-gazer, I would have never been
Had it not been for this twinkling thing.

So I stared at the star above me high,
Long enough to dazzle my eyes.
So what, the brightness adds to me
I learn too, to shine with glee...
Shine on star, you are the king
Radiance to our lives, you do bring.

But the star was a shooting star...
And one night, when the sky was dark,
And the moon was gone,
It fell from my sky,
Down into the earth,
Crashing onto my hopes,
Straight into my eyes.

And, that was the end.
Of me gazing at the star...
Not because the star was gone,
Not because I lost the star...
But because, every time I opened my eyes
I could only see a dark dark sky…
All around me all the while
And I realized
I have lost my sight.

Of Dreams

I dream of you, I dream of me
I dream of a world where love will be
Happy as two birds that fly very high
Night's done so quick, I wonder why!

Last night you wooed me such
I couldn't thank my stars so much!
The love that we shared was just like a dream
Oh my night's fantasy, by daylight you dim!

A green meadow, a sapphire sky
Clasped hands, we walk eye in eye
We run far, we lose ourselves within we
A rising sun ends it all, was it meant to be?

I dream more, I dream of you going away
I stifle, I cry…Alone and lost in the folds of my dream
I stumble, I falter…a little more do I decay
I run, I drop, I scuttle towards the broad day.

Of all the dreams I dream about you,
One dream did come true
Not the love, not the woo, not at all about us two
But the one when you leave, not me, just you…

So, I will sleep once more,
No...No more dreams this time
A tired bed, a pitch dark grave,
I want to sleep a silent night.

A Song Unheard...

Red as blood, the shrub with roses two
Butterflies around, a yellow and a blue
A soft breeze flirting with the branch above
Shh, they said...'tis the day of love...

Flying around, sparrows, swallows all in pairs
Look around, feel the love in the air
The Nightingale fluttered out of her nest
Sing the song of love, sing your best!

The morning sun dazzling on the dew
A february chill, a crimson hue
The Nightingale will sing soon, she said
But for her wind she has her melodies saved...

The wind was here last night, remember?
Caresssing and tickiling under my feathers...
I am sure he will come again today,
It's but the day of love they say!

The morning rolled over to day
It's been long, where's the wind I say?
Little Nightingale sing your song
Wait for the wind, will you how long!

She asked the weather cock, where is he?
No more here, he has gone to visit the sea
A little heart lost its melody that day
A little bird's love was colored grey...

Flew away the little bird of tunes and rhymes
Goodbye she waved to her lovely happy times
So, the nightingale sang on the day of love
Behind the bowers...alone, unloved and unheard...

Vulnerable Only For You

A knock at my door, rattling windows
Window panes wet with the rain
Is it you, my breeze?
My life's most loved refrain...
I am still the vulnerable me you once knew
Vulnerable at my weakest points, only for you.

Open are my doors, wide open the windows
The rain lashing hard at my face
Strong breeze, blow me away from myself
You are the rhythm of my life's pace
Do you remember the vulnerable me you once knew?
Vulnerable still, at my weakest points, only for you.

Left my home behind to fly out with you
Drenched in your rain, to dwell within you
Strong wind, you have weakened my inner depths
For long, my heart, has inside me wept...
Do you still love the vulnerable me you once knew?
Vulnerable always, at my weakest points, only for you.

With

I want
With a little cloud in my sky
A drop of rain
A handful of mud
The earth damp, yet dry.

I want
With a drop of a spoon
A clink of the forks
A broken plate
Yesterday's leftover food.

I want
With a ray of the sun
A dazzling morning
A broken dream
The sound of my clock's alarm.

I want
With a walk around our place
A gentle tug
A warm hug
A smile on your face.

I want
With a bruise in there
touch
A feel
A mark left here.

I want
To leave
And, to live on
Forever,
With just you in my dreams...

Who Am I?

I see a part of the world uncovered everyday,
The more I live, the more I see...a lot of human ways.
It's always a fight, a struggle, a war to breathe some more;
A struggle not with destiny, but a war with fellow folks.

Who says we are alone, the crowd chokes us so
Whom do I live with, whom do I lean on, a friend, or a foe?
A friend, a foe, they actually sound the same at start,
But, life confuses them in the end when everything falls apart.

Change is the key, to live more, to fit into this world,
There's no wrong, nothing right, change is the definite word.
There's no end to growing up, no end to suriviving with fellow folks,
We grow up to grow old, we change then, to grow up a little more.

Rat race, they call it, see that rat running past!
Stop, stop, I am a rat too, let me run faster first!
I stand in front of the mirror, eye in eye
I ask myself, "I wonder, who am I?"
