Who Am I?

I see a part of the world uncovered everyday,
The more I live, the more I see...a lot of human ways.
It's always a fight, a struggle, a war to breathe some more;
A struggle not with destiny, but a war with fellow folks.

Who says we are alone, the crowd chokes us so
Whom do I live with, whom do I lean on, a friend, or a foe?
A friend, a foe, they actually sound the same at start,
But, life confuses them in the end when everything falls apart.

Change is the key, to live more, to fit into this world,
There's no wrong, nothing right, change is the definite word.
There's no end to growing up, no end to suriviving with fellow folks,
We grow up to grow old, we change then, to grow up a little more.

Rat race, they call it, see that rat running past!
Stop, stop, I am a rat too, let me run faster first!
I stand in front of the mirror, eye in eye
I ask myself, "I wonder, who am I?"

This is so thoughtful and intense. I must say it is very true too. It is very easy to get lost and wonder who am I. Lovely piece. Keep writing!
Lots of love

hey really liked it. Philosophy laid threadbare. A true depiction of our lives. This is the reality of life! Wonderfully realized and worded.

live alone in the mind, that's the way one can always be in peace..oh,yes, of course trust in God but lock your car.

this verse i like, though it still dwells on the human emotions and societal framework. There is much bigger or say higher plane is there where we start questioning, What are we?
